Flights
My 1st ever flight was a pleasure flight around Bournemouth I can’t remember the plane I was very young but do remember flying over the Isle of Wight.
It was a good few years since I then flew again. In 1998 a short Ryanair trip from Bournemouth to Dublin, the thing I remember most from this flight some **** had been sick on a previous flight and kindly put their sick bag back in the seat pocket that smell was unreal didn’t do much for making me enjoy that particular flight !!!
A few more flights to Dublin followed. Before the best flight I’ve ever been on !!!!
My friend and I flew from London city airport to Milan on a British Airways RJ100 there was meant to be 50 business passengers who never arrived so the entire flight only had 7 passengers. The flight crew treated us a business passengers and we arrived in Milan well fed and half drunk !!!! The return journey the approach of central London is amazing flying down the Thames picking out all of the London attractions.
Then came the regular Bournemouth to Alicante flights which were largely uneventful, I always like flying over the mountains in to Spain and the heat that hits you as you leave the plane. I’ve also done this trip from Bristol and Gatwick with Easyjet which I do prefer compared to Ryanair
In 2008 I had my 1st flight from stanstead to Turin in Italy the whole trip was a disaster ! From almost leaving my passport on a bench as the coach to the city was about to leave, and booking a hotel by the wrong football ground (didn’t realise juventus were ground sharing that season 5 miles away from our hotel) the plus point at passport control coming back out of Italy they were being very strict until they saw my friend and I wearing juventus shirts and waved us straight through !!!
2010 was the big one my 1st trip to Heathrow to fly on Virgin Atlantic to New York the plane we were on was the A340. I was expecting the 7hrs to drag but after some decent food (I think I had some kind of chicken curry) watched a few films it went fairly quickly before we arrived in Newark where security was tight and took ages for immigration to ask 101 questions.
A few more trips to Alicante sandwiched a trip to Barcelona on a A319 British Airways for a stag do the beer flowed on the plane and again the 90 minute journey was over in no time at all !
My last flight to Alicante was the worst I’ve experienced the turbulence which only lasted maybe 10 minutes was so lumpy I was holding on to my beer with one hand and the seat rest with the other, my wife’s glass of red wine ended up all over her book and my arm !!!
